Group Leader Rewards Programs

December 31st 2007

Q. It appears sports teams are creating group leader rewards programs, which is something we have not done yet.  Could you provide examples of sports team’s group leader programs for us to consider?

A. Many sports teams do provide group leader benefits and incentives.

For example, the Reebok Rewards Program was created by the Indianapolis Colts to reward group ticket leaders for taking time out of their schedule to organize a group outing with the Colts. All rewards are based on the total number of tickets per order and benefits are as follows: (more…)

December 24th 2007

Q. Could you offer an idea or two on how we may be able to increase our season ticket sales with businesses?

A. The New Orleans Saints have a page on its website that communicates various ways businesses can use Saints tickets to increase their bottom line and improve employee relations.

Q. What sales skill would you recommend a young sales exec work on the most to develop into a great sales exec?

A. There are many skills a sales exec can learn, but the Nos. 1 and 2 skills I’d recommend to those who have the desire to be successful in sales would be 1) Practice becoming a great listener, and 2) Learn to ask great open-ended questions.

New Strategies for Enter to Win

December 10th 2007

Q. Are there any new or unique ideas you could offer for enter to win contests?

A. The best strategy I’ve experienced most recently was a team providing computers on its concourse for fans to enter to win.  It makes a great deal of sense and seems to be the most efficient way to process enter to win contestants versus someone having to input each enter to win form once an event has concluded.

New or Unique Fan Experience

December 3rd 2007

Q. What have you viewed as a new or unique game promotion so far this basketball season?

A. At the conclusion of the singing of the National Anthem (a 9-year-old who was fantastic), an Anaheim Arsenal (an NBA Development League team) staff member presented the 9-year-old singer with an NBA D-League basketball that was signed to her and autographed by the players and coaches; a real nice gesture by the Arsenal.
