Stocking Stuffer Advertising Alternatives

Q. With tight advertising budgets, what alternatives would you offer for marketing and promoting stocking stuffer ticket packages versus the traditional newspaper, radio and television advertising?

A. I’d recommend utilizing a prominent location on your website; include in your eNewsletters; in-game public address announcements and reader board mentions; tag your seat backs with mini flyers; include in your event programs; drop-ins during radio and television broadcasts; and provide information to your newspaper beat writer to include in newspaper stories.

I also encourage you to utilize corporate partners websites; bulletin boards; employee and client newsletters and check (bill) stuffers, as well as ask if they’re willing to tag their advertising or inventory.  For example, if you have a pizza partnership, it would be great to have a mini flyer promoting your stocking stuffer ticket offer with each pizza delivered now through the holidays.
