I received an email from Barnes & Noble, which I’m a member of the Reader’s Advantage Program they offer – a loyalty program – and in the “This Week at Barnes& Noble” was a “pre-order” offer for Joel Osteen’s “Become a Better You” book that will be released on Oct 15.
This is a neat idea any sports team or college athletics department could offer its most loyal fans who are subscribed to its eNewsletter. Whether it’s a “pre-order” or Early Bird Special, why not offer your season ticket holders, group leaders, donors and/or eNewsletter subscribers the opportunity to receive a specially discounted price prior to the general public receiving the “regular-price” offer a few weeks later?

The Buffalo Sabres have created a neat competition among the fans for the opportunity to emcee 10 Sabres home games and they’re down to the final four contestants.
This is a great way to engage the Sabres fans and create publicity during the off=season.

If you have not read “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” by Stephen Covey, I highly encourage you to pick up a copy if you don’t own it, or pull the book of the shelf if you do, and commit each day to reading a chapter to understand and learn the concepts that will no doubt positively impact your life…personally as well as professionally.
