Be The Chicago Bears Captain

August 31st 2009

The Chicago Bears are offering a unique fan experience as an enter-to-win contest for its home opener titled “Be The Captain.” The lucky winner will take the 4th Phase flag from a Bears starter and represent the 4th Phase at midfield.

As the promotion states on the Bears website: “Picture yourself in the tunnel with the players as they get ready to take the field for the 2009 home opener. Picture yourself standing on the field, receiving the 4th Phase flag from a Chicago Bears player. As you carry that flag across Soldier Field, you represent all the fans that make up the 4th Phase.”

What a neat way to engage and involved the Bears fans with a unique and memorable enter-to-win contest that should prove to be effective for attracting many fans to sign up and provide their information for a chance to win the contest.

Score Big Points

February 14th 2007

Today’s Telios Tip is for the “procrastinators,” those of you who didn’t plan ahead with making an investment – no, not a purchase…an investment – in a Valentine’s Day card, flowers, chocolates, a gift card, or some other special gift for your special someone.

You still have time to score big points by picking up something special for that special someone in your life.  Don’t even think of going home empty handed or bringing home the same old thing you gave your significant other last year…and the year before that…get creative! (more…)

Work Hard and Play Hard

November 24th 2006

Today’s Telios Tip comes from a quote I read that seemed appropriate following a great Thanksgiving family gathering and meal, and is for all those who work hard and are tired most evenings when they arrive home.

If you work hard, play hard.

Here’s the quote: “The trouble with a husband who works like a horse is that all he wants to do in the evenings is hit the hay.”

No Charge for Directory Assistance

May 29th 2006

Phone companies charge $1.00 or more for 411 information calls and I recently received an email communication sharing with me how to make free directory assistance calls that I thought would be appropriate to pass along as a Telios Tips blog post.

The email I received stated: “When you need to use the 411 information option, simply dial 1-800-FREE-411 or 1-800-373-3411 without incurring a charge.

I actually gave it a try myself and it’s a legitimate toll-free information line.
