The Charlotte Checkers hosted “Clothing Drive,” presented by Goodwill.
Fans who brought any new or like-new clothing item for donation to Goodwill received a Terrace Level ticket to a Checkers Sun-Thurs regular-season game. (more…)
Phantoms Impact Over 30,000 Students

The Philadelphia Phantoms have created a School Assembly Program where they have conducted as many as 105 school visits and reached over 30,000 students.
This could prove to be a successful program for sports teams looking to positively impact the community and their attendance numbers by incorporating a sponsor to underwrite tickets for kids.

Junior Fire Warden Initiative

The Calgary Roughnecks and the Calgary Fire Department have teamed up to help kids under the age of 12 be safer by becoming “Junior Fire Warden” in their homes.
During the 2007 season, kids interested in entering the contest have been given a series of Safety Drills (see link below) to complete with family members. Once each drill is finished, each child, with the help of mom or dad, can send their entry to firewarden@calgaryroughnecks.com. (more…)
Giants Web Site Features Fund-raising Page

The San Francisco Giants have created a ticket fund-raising web site page – primarily targeting Bay Area school districts, PTAs, and Educational Foundations – that features group benefits (singing of the National Anthem, camera and scoreboard recognition throughout the game, and other unique opportunities), 28 games offered for ticket fundraising, the fundraising FAQ, and a list of the 12 education groups and links for each with the ability to purchase fundraising tickets online.

Express Offer Ticket Fundraising

The Round Rock Express (AAA affiliate of the Houston Astros) offers not-for-profit organizations the opportunity to sell Express tickets as a fundraising effort. Each “Berm Bucks” coupon sheet contains six general admission tickets good for any regular season game (except the home opener and July 4).
Organizations can sell each coupon sheet for $30 ($36 retail value) and $15 stays with the organization and $15 is returned to the Round Rock Express.
The Express offers organization up to 200 sheets to sell initially for their fundraisers, and communicate on the ticket fundraising web page that organizations can net $3,000 for their cause by selling all 200 sheets.
