The Chicago Bulls have teamed with the Illinois Lottery for a neat promotion where 12 weekly winners have the opportunity to Live Like a Chicago Bull for a Day.”
 

Each of the 12 weekly winners chosen receive two premium seats to a Bulls game; two pre-game shoot around floor passes; one Bulls player jersey; and the opportunity to have a picture take at center court. (more…)

Recognize Your Loyal Season Ticket Holders

The Minnesota Timberwolves have created the “Iron Fan Attendance” award, which honors the Timberwolves most loyal fans.
 

The top 50 season ticket holders with the best attendance each season receive an autographed Rockets basketball. One of the 50 season ticket holders are randomly selected to take a half-court shot for a chance to win a Toyota Tundra truck during the final game each season.

Former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue’s five Lessons for Success:
 

1. If it ain’t broke, fix it anyway. I used to say if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Guess what? Anything can be made better.
 

2. Learn from others outside of sports. Young people always ask me how they can have a career in sports. I always say, go to work in another business sector: telecom, banking, collective bargaining as an attorney. Stay out of sports until you acquire some skills. Work With Your Local PAL Chapter

Has your sports team partnered with its local Police Athletic/Activities League (PAL) chapter?
 

In short, PAL exists to “prevent juvenile crime and violence by providing civic, athletic, recreational and educational opportunities and resources to PAL Chapters.”
 

College and professional sports teams could reach out to PAL chapters in their local areas and collaboratively create partnerships that benefit the community, the sports team and all who choose to participate in the partnership. (more…)
