Official Hotel of Your Sports Team

Some sports teams sign exclusive hotel partnerships where a hotel – or hotel chain – is the “official” hotel of the sports teams.
This is a great opportunity for hotel to promote it’s the “official” team hotel, so it can call each of the team’s opposing teams and extend a special team rate. The endorsement of the home team helps secure this business.
There are also opportunities to leverage this hotel partnership even further so both the hotel and sports teams maximize the benefits of their relationship. The hotel could provide the team with a special team rate that the team could promote on its web site, on schedule cards, in ticket brochures, in email communication, and in media advertising.
The hotel could distribute schedule cards, ticket brochures and other team information at its hotel(s), as well as feature a team display in the hotel lobby.
The partnership could extend to the hotel’s restaurant where a burger, pizza or other food or drink item could feature the team’s nickname. Season ticket holder benefits could include a percentage off their hotel stay, or if it’s a national partnership, it could include a discount at any of the hotel chain’s U.S. accommodations.
Hotels have some great meeting space and this could benefit sports teams looking to host fans for a pre-game or post-game event, as well as focus groups, season ticket holder appreciation events, and any other appropriate events.
Athletic teams also have opportunities to host hotel employees and their clients at sporting events, as well as offer pre- and post-game on-court, on-field and on-ice activities and events.
