Harmons Grocery Stores’ PTA Day

Each year in February, Harmons Grocery Stores, a locally owned chain of Utah grocery stores – hosts PTA Day and schools around the state benefit from thousands of dollars generated during the annual Harmon’s Grocery Stores’ PTA Day.
Harmons stores promote the event at every Utah school and donate five percent of one-day sales during PTA Day to over 90 participating Utah schools for programs, supplies and special activities.
When I recently read about the program, I thought it would be a neat program for a sports team to undertake annually as well. Just as the annual donation program is a win-win for Harmons and Utah schools, the annual fund-raiser would be a great win-win for sports teams and schools.
