Not Too Soon for “Stocking Stuffers”

September 29th 2006

It may still feel like summer in some parts of the country, and for others, you’re experiencing some beautiful fall weather as the leafs begin to turn colors, but just because there’s only a hint of snow in the mountains doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have a stocking stuffer in place now.

Mt. Spokane and other ski areas around the country have stocking stuffer lift ticket packages featured prominently on its web sites and I encourage you to think about how – if you work in college athletics – you could package a football game, volleyball match, men’s and women’s basketball, and possibly a spring sport or two in a stocking stuffer ticket package.

You also have an opportunity to simply focus on one sport and offer a mini ticket plan, or mini ticket plan options for your fans.

If you work with a professional sports team, you could put together a few different mini plan options along with a premium item, and why not -love that question! – include an actual stocking with your team logo?

Don’t delay, though, now is the time.  Before we know it, the holidays will be here!
