Founding Member of the Cubs Club

April 17th 2007

The Chicago Cubs, which happened to be my favorite baseball team, are unquestionably one of the most storied franchises in all of sports.  It all started back on February 2, 1876 – that was the founding of the Cubs, along with seven other National League teams.

All these years later, the Cubs have created the “Cubs Club” and I’m proud to say I’m a Founding Member.  The neat thing is our youngest daughter, who also loves the Cubs, is also a Founding Member of the Cubs Club.  That’s because this year is the first year of the Cubs Club; a great idea and likely a Club with a very long membership list.

Whether you’re a part of minor or major league professional sports team, like the Chicago Cubs, or a college athletics department, why not start your own club similar to the Cubs Club?

I was able to become a Founding Member of the Cubs Club for the one-year investment of $19.95.  You likely don’t have a fan following like the Cubs, but there are plenty of season ticket holders, fans, alumni, former student-athletes and others who would be interested in becoming a member of your club.

The inaugural year is as important as any year, so make sure you position it as an opportunity to be a Founding Member and how there’re only one chance to become a Founding Member.

One Response to “Founding Member of the Cubs Club”

    Hello Ron-

I have a few questions about the Cubs Club and need some serious help!
I have joined the Cubs club by May 1st, and am trying to find out where this exclusive ticket opportunity for the May 20th game vs. the White Sox is. I have called both MLB customer support and the Chicago Cubs box office and they don’t seem to know anything about it. When I call the Cubs box office, they tell me to call the MLB customer service number, and when I call the MLB customer service number, they tell me to call the Cubs box office. Also, both tell me that this is done “online and you can find everything there.” The main reason I joined the Club was to get this exclusive ticket opportunity as I will be in Chicago the weekend of the 20th, but can’t find anything on it now that I have actually joined and haven’t got any answers from anyone. Also, the website says that I will be able to access “member only” pages as part of the cubs club and I cannot find these pages anywhere. Please help! Thanks!
