Connecting Fans with the Head Coach

I recently visited the website of the Utah Blaze, a team in the AFL’s American Conference Western Division, and I like their “Ask the Coach” feature.
It’s well positioned on the Blaze website, has a simple and effective layout, and in addition to successfully providing its fans access to its head coach – former Dallas Cowboy and Hall of Fame quarterback Danny White – the Blaze secured a title sponsor for the interactive fan feature.
I like the fact the “Ask the Coach” feature is all inclusive with an invite to fans to ask Coach White a question, followed by the question and answer of the week, and a short online form for fans to ask their question – all positioned nicely on one page.
Along with name, email, location and the fans question, I’d recommend adding an opt-in opportunity for fans to receive ticket specials, the Utah Blaze Newsletter, and/or Blaze news alerts.
