Make the Move to NCAA Division I

Q. As someone who started your career at an NCAA Division II school and eventually worked with NCAA Division I colleges, what would you recommend to those who would like to do the same?
A. I actually started my career in sports at an NAIA school – Winona State University in Winona Minn. – which is now an NCAA Division II school.
I made the transition from Winona State to the University of Tennessee when I accepted a two-year graduate assistantship at UT, and it turned out to the experience I needed to develop my skills, knowledge and understanding of Division I college athletics.
