Field Trips to Sporting Events

Q. Schools and day cares often take field trips to the zoo or museums. Has any sports team been able to tap into school’s field trips, and if so, which sports teams have been successful offering field trip events?
A. Baseball has probably done the best of any of the sports at successfully offering field trips to schools.
Check out the Texas Rangers’ Legends of the Game Museum Field Trip page on its website. It highlights the program and ticket pricing.
The Field Museum in Chicago has offered a neat field trip program for the Baseball as America exhibit. The Baseball as America page on the Field Museum website features a downloadable Teacher’s Guide as well as a downloadable Student’s Guide for field trips.
The Field Museum also provides a link to a page that outlines how schools and organizations can Plan a Group Visit.
