Choose One Book

September 10th 2007

Q. If you were to recommend one book from your summer reading list you shared last Monday, what one book would you recommend?

A. Wow, that’s a tough question, especially since I added a sixth book to the list, Tony Dungy’s “Quiet Strength.” For me, it would be a toss-up between “The Three Signs of a Miserable Job,” by Patrick Lencioni; “Half-Time: Changing Your Game Plan from Success to Significance,” by Bob Buford and Dungy’s book.

I really enjoyed Lencioni’s book; I’m almost finished with Buford’s “Half-time” and have found it inspiring; and although I’ve just started reading Dungy’s book, I watched a special feature on Tony Dungy a year ago, and know the message from his book will be impacting.
