Brewers Offer Fan Value Corner

April 13th 2009

Q. What are you seeing in the way of sports teams communicating ticket specials to fans?  Same old discounts or is there anything new to report?

A. The Milwaukee Brewers have created a “Fan Value Corner” on its website that includes everything from Kids and Senior Citizens Discount Days to a Brewers-State Fair Double Header Deal and concessions discounts.

The value offers and website page are well done, nicely tie-in sponsors, and highlight the Brewers season-long offers.  It’s a nice presentation and a great strategy Brewers’ fans will likely appreciate.

The Milwaukee Brewers sold over 3,000,000 tickets last year and appear to be on the verge of selling even more this year. Plus, their merchandise sales jumped, I believe, a higher percentage than any other MLB team. Of course, it helped that they reached the postseason for the first time in 26 years, but their impressive marketing efforts also demand considerable credit.

Joel: Thanks for sharing the Brewers ticket sales success from last year as well as this season. I agree, it’s great to see a team like the Brewers business operations prepared to leverage their on-field success as their marketing and sales teams have done so well.
