Winona State Wins Second Championship

April 7th 2008

Winona State, my alma mater, won its second NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship in three years.

If not for a steal converted into a lay-up in the last possession of last year’s National Championship game, the Warriors would be celebrating it’s third consecutive.

Winona State finished the season 38-1, which is a WSU single-season record for wins, and the Warriors have a 32-game winning streak going into the 2008-09 season.

In the last four years, Winona State has won a staggering 129 of 146 games.
